2010 LAKE UNION BOATS AFLOAT SHOW, SEATTLE

The North 49 Yacht Sales team will be on-site assisting for the weekend portion of the Lake Union Boats Afloat Show at the always busy Ranger Tugs display. The Ranger Tugs R-21, the R-25SC, R-29 and the newest model (and most talked about) the R-27 will be available for viewing. We are excited to participate and look forward to showing the many Canadians these incredibly practical trailerable boats.

 The 4th Annual Boat Show at the Creek

Once again North 49 Yacht Sales will participate in the Mosquito Creek Boat Show in North Vancouver hosted by the Mosquito Creek Marina and the British Columbia Yacht Brokers Association.

Ron Mallon, President, Sidetrack Charters aboard his Ranger Tugs R-25

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Ron Mallon of Sidetrack Charters operating from Sooke B C. on Vancouver Island for an absolutely incredible day Salmon fishing this past weekend. Ron has recently purchased a Ranger Tug R-25 from North 49 Yacht Sales and after several months of conversion work for his charter application, now has the ultimate commercial sport fishing boat able to comfortably accomodate up to 6 charter guests.

We new Ron was well respected in the industry as one of the leaders in sport fishing charters within his expansive territory located off the Southern tip of Vancouver Island and boasting over 18 years local experience, but were overwhelmed by his fishing knowledge and wisdom, and his local experiance payed off big for us when trolling within a condensed group of over 100 excited and motivated “weekend warrior vessels” we landed the first Chinook salmon over 20 lbs of the day! After 5 more solid hits and releasing one youngster we added one good size Spring Salmon to the days catch and could not ask for a more satisfying, entertaining and educational experience.

We are very excited to inform you that as of May 15th, North 49 Yacht Sales has moved to our new office located at Shelter Island Marina. Shelter Island Marina and Boatyard, established since 1978, is a complete Marine Facility located in Richmond, B.C., Canada on the South Arm of the Fraser River offering over 8,000 linear feet of fresh water moorage. Shelter Island marina boasts two of the largest  travelifts on the Pacific Coast able to lift boats up to 130’.

North 49 Yacht Sales will have the opportunity to offer our brokerage customers very safe, secure and affordable fresh water moorage or dry storage options at a very busy marina and working boatyard, all directly in front of our modern office. We will have several current Ranger Tugs models on display at our new location as well as the newly redesigned two stateroom Bracewell Camano 41, and of course exceptionally clean gently used and brokerage vessels as well.

The long awaited moment-Launching of the first Bracewell Camano 41

It was an incredibly proud day for the Bracewell Marine Group team as today was launch day of hull #1 of the newly redesigned legendary Bracewell Camano 41 trawler. Six Months of hard work by a dedicated team of talented professionals was celebrated with the Christening of “Blue  Beauty” at 11:00 AM April 22nd, 2010. Honors were given to Lisa Helker of Waterline Boats/Boatshed Seattle, the US dealer for Bracewell Boatworks and there was plenty of smiles about.

There were no disappointments today as the finished Camano 41 exceeded absolutely everyone’s expectations providing a welcome and refreshing new addition to the somewhat stale category of new two stateroom trawlers available today featuring the superior detailing and finishings Bracewell Boatworks is known for and providing exceptional value.

2010 Bracewell Camano 41 Legendary Trawler

The all new re-designed Bracewell Camano 41 hull #1 is nearing completion and only weeks away from launching. Every day the Camano 41 appears more stunning and it becomes more evident why this amazing yacht carries such a respectable reputation as perhaps the perfect trawler for our Pacific Northwest waters.

2010 Bracewell Camano 41 Construction Report

Hull number one of the legendary Camano 41 seen here under construction in the Bracewell Boatworks shop in Richmond is progressing well, and looks incredibly nautical with the blue color hull.

A great deal of the decking is completed and windows are cut out reflecting yet another improvement the experienced Bracewell group has made increasing Salon visibility and adding asthetic value. The Galley is being drafted and the stove has been set in place providing insight into how large and open the Camano 41’s Salon actually is.

Hull number one will be completed early April and the North 49 Yacht Sales team together with Bracewell Boatworks are proud to present the Bracewell Camano 41 on display and available for viewing at the Victoria Harbour Floating Boat Show April 29th-May 2nd, and the Nanaimo Floating Boat & Marine Trade Show June 4th-6th, 2010.

Seattle Boat Show-Introducing the Ranger Tugs R 25SC

January 29th and 30th at the 2010 Seattle Boat Show have been very busy for all of us at the Ranger Tugs display in Qwest Stadium. More often than not there were line ups to get onboard and view each model in the Ranger Tugs line on display at Qwest booth #30 of the boat show, and with the unveiling of the newest Ranger Tugs model the R 25SC (Sport Cockpit) it has been extremely steady. The R 25SC has a further 16” extended Cockpit than the traditional R 25, and 16” shorter Cabin which will appease those generally looking for a larger Cockpit area perhaps for downriggers, trap pullers, and multiple fishing rods, but still appreciate the ease of  owning and trailing a 25’ boat.
